You're not confused.
The world is.
If you're bi+, you already know the drill. You're too gay for the straights, too straight for the gays, and somehow expected to prove your identity with a relationship resume. The research is clear: bi+ people face worse mental health outcomes, higher rates of violence, and a whole lot of erasure - even from within LGBTQ+ spaces.
We're here to change that. Give It To Me Bi creates authentic, evidence-based content and community for bi+ people - so you can feel secure in your identity, speak confidently about your experience, and be part of something bigger.
“Steve and Chad have made it much clearer to me that it’s not a simple conversation or even specifically a me problem. And it’s okay for me to feel or be whoever I am. Thanks for being a safe and welcoming space for these sorts of discussions to happen. It helps a lot.”
What we create
Weekly Podcast
Episodes that tackle the real stuff: coming out, relationships, the bi-cycle, biphobia in queer spaces, the bi+ mental health crisis, and yes - the myths that somehow won't die. We cite the research, share our lived experiences, and make space for the nuance that bi+ identity demands.
Star Observer Column
Australia's first bi+ column in the country's longest-running LGBTQ+ publication (45+ years). We cover everything from bi+ health policy to relationship dynamics, bringing bi+ visibility to Australian audiences with the same evidence-based, accessible approach.
Facebook Community
A global space where bi+ people and allies connect across continents. Ask the questions you've been holding, share your story, get support, celebrate wins, and find your people. It's the kind of space many of us wish we'd had years ago.
Resources and guides
For bi+ folks navigating coming out conversations, supporting partners, and everything in between. Free downloadable PDFs and practical tools based on research and community wisdom - because having the right words at the right time can change everything.
How This Started
Give It To Me Bi began at the Sydney Bi+ Network, where co-hosts Steve Spencer and Chad D'Elboux Barnier met through advocacy work.
Together with SBN, they co-created Australia's first and largest bi+ HIV education campaign - work that led to consulting with other organisations, contributing to a letter to Parliament, and launching BiPAN, Australia's first bi+ HIV community network.
They saw a gap: bi+ people needed evidence-based content that was actually accessible, community spaces that truly welcomed them, and representation that reflected the complexity of their identities. So they built it.
Meet Your Hosts
Steve Spencer (he/him)
An award-winning bi+ and HIV advocate, sexual health researcher, and educator. A bisexual man living with HIV, Steve is a co-investigator on Australia's first bi+ sexual health study at the Kirby Institute, UNSW.
At 23, he co-founded PrEPaccessNOW, which became Australia's largest private PrEP provider and also successfully led the charge to oppose the Australian Government’s ban on poppers.
He now serves as Vice President of NAPWHA and is convenor of BiPAN, and is an ambassador for both Qtopia Sydney and the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.
Chad D’Elboux Barnier (He/him)
A creative director and bi+ advocate based in Sydney. He co-hosts and produces Give It To Me Bi, bringing his branding, marketing, and events expertise to build a platform that the bi+ community deserves.
Chad sits on the Inner West Council's Local Democracy Group for LGBTQ+ issues and believes deeply in creating infrastructure that matches the quality of what other communities have built.
A parent and recent widower, he brings empathy, equity, and creativity to everything he does.
“When I listen to GITMB I feel seen and validated. All of your stories really resonate for me. Chad’s beautiful relationship with his wife showed me that I can be attracted to men and still be devoted to my wife. Steve’s sharing about coming out to his dad made me laugh and reflect on my own journey. Your pod is so helpful. It helps us see that we are okay, that nothing is or was wrong with those feelings.”
What We Stand For
“Before the show I felt isolated, especially as someone perceived as a lesbian most of the time when in reality I’m bisexual and non-binary. The show has validated a lot of the issues I’ve been thinking about and helped me feel less alone, while also giving me an amazing education on topics I had never thought about!”
-
We ground our content in research, data, and reputable sources - because the bi+ community deserves better than myths and stereotypes.
-
Lived experience matters. We share real stories, our own vulnerabilities, and the messy, beautiful truth of bi+ identity.
-
Our audience are co-creators, not just consumers. Your experiences and insights shape what we do.
-
We embrace both/and thinking. Being bi+ isn't simple, and we don't pretend it is. We hold complexity.
-
No B without the T. Our liberation is interconnected, and we're committed to intersectional advocacy.
-
Bi+ folks hold multiple identities - race, class, disability, faith. We're not free until we're all free.
-
Whether you're just figuring things out or you've been out for decades, whether you're bi+ yourself or a partner or ally - you belong here.
-
We make complex research digestible. We're warm, not academic. We define jargon and speak like humans.
-
We celebrate bi+ identity with humour and community joy alongside the serious stuff. Because pride and pleasure matter.
This Is For You If...
You're bi+ (bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, or otherwise attracted to more than one gender) and you're looking for something more.
Maybe you're just figuring things out. Maybe you're out and proud but tired of feeling invisible. Maybe you're in a relationship and navigating what that means for your identity. Maybe you just want to connect with others who get it.
This is also for partners, friends, family, and allies who want to better understand and support the bi+ people in their lives.
“Listening to the podcast has been a major part of growing comfortable calling myself bi around my friends and family, and this year was the first time I felt confident enough in myself to post bi pride on my socials. Thank you both so much for the pod and all the amazing confidence it’s given to people like myself.”
Wherever you are on your journey, we're glad you're here.
